Practice Areas

Civil Litigation / General Counsel

Tanenbaum Law Firm, P.C. concentrates its practice in two core disciplines: sophisticated civil litigation and outside general counsel services. The firm combines courtroom strategy with practical business judgment, helping clients resolve disputes, manage risk and make informed decisions before, during and after litigation.

01

Civil Litigation

Tanenbaum Law Firm, P.C. represents businesses, owners, executives, investors, employers, property owners and other clients in complex civil disputes in state and federal courts. The firm handles matters from pre-litigation assessment and strategy through pleadings, discovery, motion practice, settlement negotiations, trial preparation and resolution.

Business & Commercial Disputes

Breach of contract, business torts, partnership and ownership disputes, fiduciary-duty claims, fraud and misrepresentation claims, and disputes arising from commercial transactions.

Real Estate Litigation

Disputes involving purchase and sale agreements, ownership interests, development matters, commercial leases, contractual obligations, property-related business disputes and other real estate controversies.

Employment Litigation

Defense of employers in employment-related claims as well as selected representation involving wrongful termination and other workplace disputes.

Insurance & Fraud-Related Litigation

Federal court defense matters involving allegations of insurance fraud and related commercial claims.

Intellectual Property Litigation

Copyright, trademark, branding, licensing and other disputes involving intellectual property and proprietary business interests.

Pre-Litigation Strategy & Dispute Resolution

Early case assessment, demand and response strategy, negotiation, mediation, settlement structuring and efforts to resolve disputes before substantial litigation expense is incurred.

The firm approaches litigation as a business problem as well as a legal problem. Strategy is developed with attention to legal exposure, economics, business objectives, reputational considerations and the practical consequences of prolonged litigation.

02

General Counsel

Tanenbaum Law Firm, P.C. provides outside General Counsel services to companies that require experienced legal oversight without maintaining a full-time internal legal department.
